Hi Guys,
I am happy today as the journey for the long waiting process is over. I would like to share with all of you few pointers which I think may help you in your process.
The online case status website never works. Information is dated. I got my approval mail today but the website is still not updated. MyUSCIS also is not updated. SO if you think you heard your IO saying that he approved your case, follow up with customer service by calling USCIS directly. If you do not get much info you can always ask them for Level 2.
My timeline:
10/22/2018: 485, 130 and 785 all applied together
12/04/2018: Biometric appointment done
06/15/2018: Courtesy letter for 693 (Medical)
06/22/2019: Adjustment of status interview scheduled (485) (officer was very friendly and everything was over in 15 mins, he asked that I should make an attempt to get my birth certificate and he will give that as RFE)
08/01/2019: 785 approval notice
08/07/2019: EAD card received
08/05/2019: 485 Interview (Employment based)
08/14/2019: RFE received for copy of Birth certificate
10/28/2019: RFE mailed back
10/30/2019: 485 approved (That was quick
)
11/4/2019: Received approval notice
11/4/2019: USPS tracking number available for GC
I took almost 90 days window for RFE to obtain my birth certificate. But I would say overall process was smooth for me and my field office was Newark, NJ.
