  • AOS- No notice of receipt

    Hello,
my husband and I filed for AOS and we sent our package to the Chicago Lockbox. Our tracking shows it was received on October 17th, however they haven't cashed our cheques nor have they sent us any notice of receipt. We called twice to the USCIS but they couldn't provide us with any information because we're not in the system. Is this normal? How long should it take to get a receipt?

We got ours after a week and a half.

Try to call again and ask for a tier 2 representative.

I talked to a tier 2 officer and got the same reply. Still nothing in their system that shows my name.

I heard the time varies sometimes. I sent mine November 2, received Nov 4th and just today got 2 letters from uscis. Give them Atleast a solid month or 30 business days. By then you should definitely hear something. Things are moving slowly with the influx of applications during October as everyone was trying to beat the public charge deadline.
