I am a Pakistani citizen, and am adjusting my status from H1B. USCIS sent me an RFIE asking to submit my birth certificate. I had originally submitted a Family Registration Certificate (FRC) as part of my AoS application. An FRC is acceptable in lieu of a long form birth certificate, according to State Department Country Reciprocity Schedule
In the RFIE, they have asked me to provide either the long form birth certificate, or provide an alternate secondary evidence PLUS a letter from the government explaining the reason the record doesn't exist.
I want to ask if I could go ahead and respond to the RFIE using the FRC with a letter from the Pakistan Embassy and a print out of the State Department Country Reciprocity Schedule? What steps should I take to address this?
Thanks
