  • Notice of intent to deny

    Hey guys.
so after a year and 1 month my wife received a notice of intent to deny her petition.
for some reason they said that I am currently married in my home country and for that reason my marriage here is not valid amd they gave us 30 days to prove otherwise. For some reason when I was applying for the us Visa back in 2015 they have on file that I am married to my ex fiance which I never stated that we were married. The officer at the embassy asked me why I was not married I told her that it's in process she ask what do I mean I told her I was engaged and planning for our wedding. She went a head and ask me about my fiance like her name her job if she have kids so on.

On October 31st 2018 I went to Pittsburg Pennsylvania for my interview and the io brought that up and I told him over and over that I was not married. I also asked if there is anything I can do to prove that I was never married before he said no they have sources In my country can find that out.

Now its end November 2019 and they send that notice. I know I can prove that i was never married but my question is.

Whats going to happen after I sent the proof to them?
Do I need to consult with a lawyer?
will they do a house visit?
how long will they take to reconsider my case?
has anyone ever been in this situatisituationo?
