  • Request for Initial Evidence (i485 - EB1) - Can be the medical exams?

    Hello Everybody,
    on 07th October 2019 we have applied for AOS EB-1.
    • Early November I did the biometrics.
    • 03th December I've received the combo card (EAD + Advance Parole)
    • 04th December I've received the following notification on the app: On December 4, 2019, we sent a request for initial evidence for your Form I-485.

    Now the question is the following one, we didn't send the medical exams (I didn't do them yet) because I read that I could do the medical exams before the interview, can it be that?

    My lawyer had everything:
    - Birthday certificate is there;
    - All my previous notices are there;

    Thanks in advance,
    Best,

    I also received an RFE, but for evidence of birth. I resent the same documents -- that I had originally sent to them -- and they accepted the documents. They do not send an RFE for I-693; they send a notice saying that the packet is missing I-693. So, the RFE, in your case is very likely to be for something other than the medical. Keep in mind that, they have issued more RFEs than ever before; if that's any relief.

      They would send a RFE for I-693 to you only if they would like to waive your interview. Otherwise, would send you a courtesy letter about I-693. If you get an interview notice, you must bring your I-693 to Immigration Officer. There is a very small chance you would get a RFE for medical exam.
