61 Days and no biopmetrics

  • 61 Days and no biopmetrics

    it has been 62 days since I filed for my adjustment of status, have received the NOA1 but have not received biometrics appointment until now! Is that normal?


    Do not have previous biometrics.

    San Jose F1 AOS with UC 4 forms
    9/24 2019: Sent 4 forms to Chicago
    9/27 2019: PD
    11/1/2019 : Fingerprints done
    12/13/2019:Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview
    1/21/2020: Interview was scheduled
    2/25/2020 12pm: we interviewed in San Jose.
    2/25/2020 5:00pm: I-485 new card is being produced.

      You should try giving them a call. That seems too long a wait for biomterics appt! Call them

      11/22/19 Package sent I 485, [Chicago LockBox). I 130 already filed August 1st( August 8th Priority date)
      11/29/19 Card ran by USCIS for $1225
      12/13/19 Notice for Biomterics appt.
      12/23/19 Biometrics
      1/31/2020 Yellow RFIE in mail(missing Birth certificate)
      2/5/2020 RFIE received at USCIS
      2/14/20 Received I 693 courtesy letter
      2/14/20 ready to be scheduled intervw
      08/31/20 EAD /SSC
      09/03/21 Notice for biometrics appointment I 130 USC
      10/04/21 Case actively being reviewed

        We have not received our biometrics notice either (63 days after PD), but did receive an RFIE last week. Mailed the response today (overnight delivery), so maybe we’ll get the notice once they have everything.
        US Citizen filing on behalf of my spouse
        FO: St. Louis, MO
        10/03/19 documents mailed
        10/07/19 package received
        12/05/19 RFIE received in mail
        12/12/19 response to RFIE received by USCIS
        02/03/20 biometrics completed
        04/06/20 EAD approved, card being produced
        04/09/20 Case is Ready to be Scheduled for Interview
        07/02/20 Interview has been scheduled (waiting for notice)
        08/27/20 Interview/Card being produced!
        08/28/20 I-485 and I-130 Approved
        09/04/20 Card was mailed to me
        09/10/20 GC in hand

            I seem to be the only one who did not get the biometrics notice or a RFE, i really hope there is nothing wrong

                Call them first thing tomorrow and try to see if you missed any mail or anything of the sort.
                Marriage AOS (from tourist visa)
                Received Nov 4th& Priority Date also Nov 4th
                I130 i485 & work permit (did not apply for travel documents )

                Nov 15 received 2 hard copies for NOA
                Nov 22 Received biometrics appointment Notice
                Biometrics done, Dec 2nd.

                Jan 6 2020 courtesy letter for missing medical (dated Dec 31 2019, mailed Jan 2nd 2020)
                Ready to be scheduled for interview (Jan 31st 2020)

                    I’d still call, I’d call everyday until I got my letter.
                    Marriage AOS (from tourist visa)
                    Received Nov 4th& Priority Date also Nov 4th
                    I130 i485 & work permit (did not apply for travel documents )

                    Nov 15 received 2 hard copies for NOA
                    Nov 22 Received biometrics appointment Notice
                    Biometrics done, Dec 2nd.

                      Did you talk to a Tier 2 officer? They can look at your case and see if anything has been sent or missed. I know it’s frustrating. When I spoke to a Tier 2 right after Thanksgiving, he told me that appts are scheduled automatically by their system. I’m not sure how it works for those of us still waiting though. Seems like they might need each local field office to manually schedule?

                      Hang in there - I know it’s not easy but all will work out in its time.

                        Also just to quickly add that there are a few members on the forum who experienced delayed biometrics. One person waited for 4 months and (after several phone calls) received their appt and the case moved quickly from there.

                          I did i just spoke to tier2 officer and they ensured that i did not miss any notice and I have to wait :S

                            Oh really, i really hope that i won't have to wait 4 month but i really hope that the case will move quickly after the biometrics
