AOS/GC - Washington DC Filers 2019

Hello Everyone,

I am creating this forum for Washington DC filers, since I don't see that many forums/groups for this particular state.

If everyone from Washington DC, who have applied for AOS could share their timeline would be very much appreciated, so that we can be in a loop.

Our PD is 24th Feb 2019, and current status is Interview is ready to be schedule.

I have filed my AOS, and Mail it to Chicago Lock-box, on 2nd December 2019

They have Received my package on 5th of December 2019 around 1:20 PM according to USPS

On 10 the of December 2019 arround 9:30 PM at night,USCIS automatize my credit card of $1225 and $535 which Amex card,

But it is on Pending Status since 2-3 Days, Upon check with Card company (Amex) they are saying we have already approved that payment, Now Merchant which is USCIS in this case have to claim the payment?

How much time it will take to clear the payment and when they will claim? Do i have to take any action? Do i have to worry about anything?

Is this normal?

In another forum, I have noticed that people's interview being scheduled in 2-3 days after their status has been changed to "Case Ready to Be Scheduled For An Interview", however, here, some members are claiming that they are waiting months for their interview.

I am a Baltimore filer and my status changed yesterday to interview was scheduled. It took 7 months from waiting to be scheduled for interview. Good luck hopefully it will be a fast case for you.

My case is routed to Washington-Dc field office. Filing from Alexandria Va here. It’s been 311 days since USCIS received my case and 278 days since last status change of case is ready to be scheduled for interview. From what I’ve been reading from other filers it took them a year to have their interview scheduled.

We also filed July 2019, from central VA, so our office is NOVA/DC area. We’ve been waiting for an interview since 12/5/2019. Then obviously offices closed because of Covid. Then earlier this summer our status changed to waiting for an interview as of 6/24/2020, even though we had previously been in that status as of 12/5/2019. Very depressing. And to think I initially got optimistic when I first saw the update in December... thought it was weeks or maybe a couple of months away. Now it feels like major delusion on my part...

I am July 2019 filler and I have done Interview Nov 6,2020! The interview went smooth and take only 15 mins but I still dis not hear any decision from uscis yet! It has been 1.5 month already
