  • From fingerprint review completed to Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken

The 18th of November I had the biometric appointment. Two hours later the status was updated to "Fingerprint review completed" but the 12/13 it has been updated to "Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken" but the date is still 11/18, is this normal? Am I going backwards?
Because the logical thing will be having first the fingerprints take and later the reviewed one. Does somebody know if this is the regular processing?

They said USCIS updated their system so it’s just a new way of how they post your updates. It doesn’t mean your going backwards or forwards even. Just a general update. I got it and tons more people as well.

I guess they updated the system with that new text. I have several cases that showed "fingerprint review completed" and today changed to "Case was updated to show fingerprints were taken".

I think USCIS is running some sort of job to update all the case status for one time today. I have been tracking all the near by cases on case tracker app and seems like all cases of i485 and i765 have been updated today with status "case was updated to show all fingerprints were taken". I am not sure why they are changing the paraphrasing from "fingerprints review was completed" but looks like they did it not just for your case but for all the cases today.

It was weird. It was ‘ fingerprints was completed” before today 10 pm. And then I received “ were taken” at 10 pm in my app. When I was complaining what’s the difference between “ completed” and “ taken”, It changed to “ your case is ready to be scheduled for a interview” after 10 seconds.

The Los Angeles field office just send me my combo card after interview in July 2019 applied in September 2018.
It was showing “case was updated to show all fingerprints were taken and case in process.” to now like everyone else “case was updated to show finger print were taken.”
I heard LA is the slowest and toughest.
