If I 130 is approved won’t 485 automatically be approved?

My husband and I filed the 485 and 130 at the same time (May 2019). We had our interview 11/12/19. This past Friday (12/13/19) the online case status for our 130 updated to “approved”. However the status on our 485 case number still says “interview scheduled”. Anyone experience this? I’m assuming since the 130 is approved and it was the “bigger” more expensive and detailed request that the 485 will surely follow but who knows.

Most of the time they are approved roughly at the same time. There are some cases that can approve 130 but not 485 (but only when they can't approve it for some reason, like an expired medical exam or the officer wants the latest tax return).

I hope your I-485 status change soon to the card is being produced.

I had my interview on 11/19 and my status is still "Interview was Scheduled". I have received the combo card (I-765 is approved but I-131 still shows "Case was received"). So basically my I-131 is approved,but the status hasn't been changed. And also still waiting for my I-485 to have an update.
