  • EB, which documents to bring?

We are March filers (EB2), finally received our interview notice for January. The notice provides a standard list of documents to bring such as "All documentations establishing your eligibility for PR status." Basically, whatever has already been submitted as a packet. I will make extra copies regardless (previous nonimmigrant visas and statuses etc.)

So far, I'm thinking of bringing:
    Original birth certificates
    Interview notices
    Drivers licenses
    Original i140 approval notice
    Official marriage certificate copy
Employment verification letter (which, by the way, is not listed on the interview notice, but I've seen it being asked from people)
Copies of previous nonimmigrant status documents (visas, I20 etc)
    All previous passports
    I94 printouts
    2016, 2017, 2018 tax returns
3 most recent paystubs (to be printed closer to interview time)
    Current EAD cards
Our child's birth certificate (a US citizen. Should I provide any other marriage proving info?
    W2s (last 3 years)

Am I missing anything? Which documents were you asked to provide at the interview if your case is employment based?

    Thank you all!

You want to make sure that you bring documents that can support the validity of your EB2 claim.
The USCIS suggests the following documentation:
      • Documentation, such as an official academic record showing that you have a U.S. advanced degree or a foreign equivalent degree, or an official academic record showing that you have a U.S. baccalaureate degree or a foreign equivalent degree and letters from current or former employers showing that you have at least 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate work experience in the specialty.
      • Academic record showing that you have a degree, diploma, certificate, or similar award from a college, university, school, or other institution of learning relating to your area of exceptional ability
      • Letters documenting at least 10 years of full-time experience in your occupation
      • A license to practice your profession or certification for your profession or occupation
      • Evidence that you have commanded a salary or other remuneration for services that demonstrates your exceptional ability
      • Membership in a professional association(s)
      • Recognition for your achievements and significant contributions to your industry or field by your peers, government entities, professional or business organizations
Make sure you have translations too, if these are in other languages.

Thanks a lot. I'll add the original diploma and grad school transcript to the list.

Just had our interview, the interviewer asked for:

          - current passport (original)
          - recent paystubs (we brought 6)
          - marriage certificate (original)
          - employment letter (original)
          - birth certificate (original)

The interview was short, she asked how long have you been with the company and what the company does, job title, duty, hours. Then asked all the “have you ever” questions from i485.

Hello All, I have my EB interview coming up. Can someone please review the OP's document-list (above) and have any suggestions for other documents to bring? Thank you.
