I dont quite understand and find many controversial info, if me (GC holder) and my fiance concurrently filled I-130 and I-485 (because f2a is current in visa bulletin), does she have to maintain her F1 status AFTER filling I-485?

Hi Everyone! Its great to see that there's a group specifically for F2A cases doing concurrent filing. It was quite difficult to see people online that has the same process as ours.

To check with everyone, specially for those that already got their GCs, did you guys need to extend your B1/B2 Visa? I already submitted my docs (I-130, I-485, I-131 and I-765) and already received the SMS saying that the docs were received. I was wondering if there is any need to extend my B1/B2 Visa, its about to expire mid June.

From internet I understood that you do not need to extend ur visa if i-130 i approved (and your visa at the date of approval is still valid). If your visa expires and i-130 is not approved, you will fail to maintain your lawful status in USA. However we better wait for experts here.

You should not try to extend your B1/B2 visa, that will mean that you need to lie by saying that you intend to return to your home country before the extension expires and that you do not intend to become a resident.

Once USCIS receives the AOS package, you can stay in the USA while your case is pending.

What are the chances the F2A rest of world category will retrogress in the next 3-4 months? I am an LPR my partner will be here and think of doing a concurrent filing for her

Edit:- based on the visa issuance numbers so far, looks like F2A (worldwide) will be current for some more months
