RFE - joint documents

Hey guys,

I can REALLY use some advise. My husband and I had out Adjustment of status interview 2 months and we were pretty much unprepared. We had everything but joint documents. Well actually, we had a few joint documents but nothing "concrete" my husband's name is on the lease and my names are on the bills. We just got married 1 year ago and went through a family tragedy and really wasn't thinking about joint documents. We received the RFE to bring joint documents by February and my only concern is that we will only have 2 months of joint documents together. You think that'll be a problem? We sent in everything they asked for 8 days ago and still have not received an update.

I had that issue as well and we wrote a cover letter explaining what each piece of evidence is. Also uscis knows that a lot of people find it hard to accumulate joint documents without a social or ead. As long as you send in everything you have and could find. Everything should be ok. Uscis deals with this kinda thing everyday so they know. Don’t worry and hoping for the best for you.

If they think is not enough evidences, they will schedule in a couple of months second interview. You can buy something to home on both names, microwave, washer, dryer, home helper like mixer, furniture or anything else and paid from joint account. Trips, tickets on both names for bus if shows names, concerts tickets. I am a person who saved that kind of souvenir. Any order from personalized items dated before. Christmas cards from last year. Bills. Photography of photobook and order for proof. Every year I made a beautiful book. Photo of wall frame with your photo. I have on my wall 12 frame next to each other with us. Receipt from engagement ring and wedding rings. Lease, property deed, car insurance, life insurance, will.
