So I have been getting notifications for a receipt for my EAD saying it was approved, mailed and delivered etc I go to my mailbox nothing. So I log back in and check the tracking number and I see it’s mailed to a mailbox in another state.
I call this morning and they say the receipt number I have does not match my information, to find out someone messed up the receipt number and my case has not updated at all, so after thinking I was approved and celebrating the little milestones of this process I’m now feeling worse than before. I filed August 15th did my biometrics in Sept so to me getting my EAD card in December was like an early Christmas present.
Has a mix up like this ever happened to anyone else?
