It varies per field office, some will schedule an applicant for an interview a few months after the priority date, some could interview an applicant a year or so after the priority date. And there are some who are scheduled for an interview before they even get their EAD. It really all depends on your field office and how much work load they have.

Good to see an EAD mailed in just 5 months. Is your case status: "ready to schedule an interview" yet?

There is no rhyme or reason as to how they do things. Example our case, sent the EAD renewal for both dependents (parent/child), they were both approved at the same time the first time, now for renewal, they approved the child in 3 weeks and we already received the new card (valid for 2 years now) but no movement on the parent.

I think I'll post our history (own thread) for others to know that we can only relax and wait.
Nov 2018 - Package sent - EB - Texas Service Center
Day 1 - Package received at the lockbox
Day 999 - Card delivered to me - Aug 2021

It depends what state you live in and field offices. Some are faster than others.
i had my interview when my EAD expired I mean one year later that I received my EAD/AP card.

Yes, it says "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview." It's been like that since September 17.

Some people get the "interview was scheduled" after a few weeks and others after several months. No way to know how long it will take. I hope you get your interview scheduled soon.

Wow for the lucky smooth one above “November 2018 - Priority Date
April 2019 - Ready to Schedule for Interview
              May 2019 - EAD + AP Approved
June 2019 - EAD + AP Combo Card in hand
September 2019 - Interview was Scheduled
              October 2019 - Interview
November 2019 - Case Approved / GC in hand”

however, I am not as lucky as him even my wife born in Los Angeles and interviewed in Los Angeles, I applied in 2018 September and scheduled for an interview in July 14th 2019, Combo card received last week in December 12th 2019 with pending I 485 for approval.
