  • Traveling on I-131 Advanced Parole

    Hey all,

Just wondering who has traveled on I-131 document. When I131 was available for DACA recipients to travel I never did just because I was afraid I wont get admitted back. I am a B2 visa overstay and just recently applied for AOS via Marriage. Just wonder who did it and how was the experience of any of you. Also with AOS would I be able to travel for any purpose I'd like to i.e vacation or does it have to be work / humanitarian reasons?

    Thanks!

Once it has been approved and you have the card in hand, you will be paroled back into the US after international travel as long as your AOS is still pending. You don’t need to explain when or why you will be traveling in order to submit the I-131 for AP while you’re waiting for AOS processing.

I traveled twice overseas with advance parole. No problem at all. The only thing is you will need to go to a secondary inspection and wait a little for your name to be called.
i can say I had a nice experience traveling with advance parole.

I traveled when i had DACA and then traveled three times last year i have AOS pending. No problem with it. As someone said above you will be taken to secondary inspection. I was taken there as well. each time i was there no more than 5 mins.
