            • My interview was really straight forward. Just asked my husband how he got his citizenship and that was it. No extra personal questions asked. No other pictures or evidence asked. We already submitted about 20 pictures with our package. Also turned in our medical when we submitted the package. And that was it. It took about 10-15min. And on our drive home status changed to new card being produced.

                      • I had my interview on January 21st, 2021 in Los Angeles. See below for the details

Case: F1 married to US Citizen
                        Marriage date: Jan. 6th, 2020.
                        Filing Date: Jan. 21, 2020.

Our appointment was at 10:30 am. We got there at 9:30 am. Due to Covid, it took 1.5 hours to get in - so we got in at 11:00 am. They called our names at 11:45-12:00.

The interview took almost 45 minutes. The officer asked for both of our IDs, passports, and my EAD. He asked us to provide ours and each other's full name and date of birth. He asked for my spouse's citizenship proof. How we met, when we met, where do we live, our phone numbers, my medical exam (did not submit with my application), our joint assets, bank statements, proof of addresses, if we had met each other's families, and what do we think about them. He asked about my paystubs (which is weird in the case of marriage), he asked about our travels, how the marriage proposal happened, how many people we had at our wedding, and why we did not have a large ceremony (yet). He asked about our mutual friends and overall anything else that you can imagine. He then asked about all the questions in 485. He also asked about my spouse's parents' address in the US. Overall, it looks like everything was convincing. He looked at our photos, etc. I think we show him more than 400 pages of documents.

In the end, he mentioned that he needs to review all the papers and in 2 weeks they will let us know if they need any other documents, etc. He gave us a white letter indicating that the interview portion of our application has been completed, but they need to review our case and let us know the results.

So far, there have not been any updates yet.
