This whole process has been a disaster from the start.
I need some advice to see if my case would be eligible to request to be expedited based on USCIS error. Let me know what you think!
I moved from Houston to Orlando in April 2019. I filed the AR-11 (address change) April 11, 2019 and it was completed April 22, 2019.
Come October, my lawyer receives the notice for my interview and it was scheduled in Houston. (I never received a letter at my Florida address) I called USCIS and they told me I could not go to the interview because I don't live in the jurisdiction anymore and my interview would have to be rescheduled. (They said it could take up to 90 days to reschedule) My interview was cancelled on October 3, 2019. I had to send a letter to the Houston field office to explain why I needed the interview re-scheduled.
It is now past 90 days and I called USCIS to check the status and of course, they could not give me any answers. He said he doesn't see anything in the system saying my case was moved to Florida and to keep waiting. Are you for real?
When filling out the AR-11, it asks you to put all receipt numbers associated with the address change. I know I put it for all 3 (I-485, I-765, I-131) but it seems like the I-485 never got changed. And when I print out the AR-11, it doesn't have any receipt numbers listed on there. So I don't even know if I can prove that I actually did it.
I'm worried that this is going to be overlooked and I'm just going to be waiting and someone needs to look into this. Does anyone have any advice on what I should do or if I should request to get this expedited based on USCIS error?
