Medical - I693 - Date Validity

Hello - We filed our i485 July 2019 (along with i-140). We did our medical end of October 2019, and plan on taking it with us during the interview. We are waiting on interview to be scheduled.

I'm confused about the 60 day part of it. Will it be valid if the interview occurs sometime this year? My understanding is as long as its done after our initial submission (July 2019) it will be good 2 years from signature date (in this case Oct 2019). I've read/heard its safer to do the medical within 60 days of the interview date because some officers may claim its invalid as it will be more than 60 days of the signature date.

It is exactly as you said. Your medical is valid for 2 years from October 2019 because you filed I-485 in July 2019.
The IO can request a new medical exam for many reasons, one is if they suspect that something changed since the last medical. Some could say because it was not submitted after 60 days.

my lawyer told me I should go for my medical exam once I know what my interview date is. Im also waiting for interview to be scheduled my PD 07-15-19
