  • I-485 reopened and status of advance parole

Hello, my mom's I-485 was denied stating that an RFS was not responded to regd I-864, letter also stated that advance parole and EAD will be terminated.

As suggested in the letter I submitted I-290B and USCIS was kind enough to approve I-290B and I-485 case is now reopened.

My question is, can I assume that advance parole is now valid and not terminated, as such advance parole is valid until July 2020, but not sure if it terminated with first denial letter ? how do I make sure AP is valid and my mom can reenter into USA ?

I would really appreciate your advise.

I would absolutely NOT assume something like that and would not feel comfortable unless I got something in writing from USCIS stating that those documents were again valid.

Hi, what other forms/documents did you submit together with form I- 290B. I have the same case now my I-485 was denied because I failed to submit I-864 which I overlooked.

The notice stated that re-appealing is not an option because it’s not USCIS’s error but I am glad to know that it worked for your mother so I am thinking of doing the same. How long did you know that they reopened your case?
