  • Question about 3 Hole Punch and I-864 - Texas Filer

My husband's interview is set for Wednesday of next week, February 12! Super excited. Took right around 9 months, but I had a few questions prior to the interview.

For all the documentation we have to bring, and there is a lot, is there any issue with organizing it in a binder using a 3 hole punch? I know when you actually file they request to only use a two hole punch, but I wasn't sure if it would be an issue for the documentation with the actual interview. The stack of paper is seriously 2+ inches tall so I cannot think of another way to organize or easily transfer it except a binder.

Also, when we filed we also sent in the I-864 and documentation - pay stubs, tax returns, etc. It said on the letter for the interview to bring the I-864 and supporting documentation if you had not sent it already. I wanted to be safe so I printed it out again to take with us and all the documentation as well. (That's actually why the pile is so large, my 2017 tax return is like 100+ pages for some reason). I did recently get a new job where I make the same amount of money and we read online that we may need an updated I-864 as a result, but possibly only if my income is less. Does anyone have a definitive word on this? I did print my most recent paystub and got a letter from my HR department listing my monthly pay just in case.

    Thank you in advance!
