Hello Guys

I had applied for my STEM OPT Extension which was expiring on Feb 4 where as i sent my application along with the documents in Jan 17th
But USCIS send back my application saying "case was rejected because it was improperly filed i-765" on Feb 6th
I seem to have made a mistake in the application.

Now can i re-submit my application correcting my mistake ? what are my chances ?

is there a risk of my application getting denied again because by the time i resubmit my application i will be out of the EAD end date before which i should file my STEM-Extension application.
I am planning to draft a letter stating my scenario and request them to accept my application as "Timely Filed" i am little worried as some attorneys are saying its just 50 % chance and i have to consider CPT options, Please help..
