  • Boston December 2019 filer

    Hello everyone,

I’m adjusting status to Green Card from F1 Visa. My I-485 was first processed at NBC before being transfered to Boston Field Office.
Here is my timeline so far:

    12/10/2019: package sent (I-485, I-130, I-765, I-131)
    12/11/2019: Receipt date
    12/17/2019: Fee accepted
    1/6/2020: Biometric appointment
1/29/2020: Case was updated to show fingerprints were taken
2/11/2020: Case was ready to be scheduled for an interview.

So far, my case has moved past NBC pretty fast without any RFE. Is it true that the backlog at Boston Field Office is the only factor in the scheduling of the interview? Is Boston fast at scheduling interviews?

please share your timeline if yours are similar or your field office is also Boston.

    Thank you very much!

    Hi,

I have a very similar timeline with your case, besides I am adjusting from H1 status...and I believe my case will most likely going to be Boston Filed Office as based on my company's location and where I live.

    03/28/2019: Receipt date (I-140)
    12/12/2019: Receipt date(I-485, I-765, I-131)
    1/7/2020: Biometric appointment
    1/28/2020: I-140 approved
1/29/2020: Case was updated to show fingerprints were taken (I-485, I-765)

Nothing has changed for I-130 since the receipt date...

Have you heard anything about your EAD yet? My brother got his GC last year from his company. It took him 9 moths to get an interview from Milwaukee Field Office, but he was also on premium processing and he got his EAD 2 weeks after his I-140 approval, but all his cases were processed by Nebraska Center.
