  • What to wear for interview?

Hi, would it be weird for husband to wear a formal suit (suit with tie) to the interview? Please share, thanks.

That's fine. Many people go in with full suits. Some go in with jeans/shirts. It really doesn't matter. From the officer's perspective, all they want to see is that you are eligible for the visa that you're applying. I, personally, would go in a simple dress pant with shirt and maybe a tie. The rule of thumb is to "not draw any attention" whether good or bad. Focus more on the paperwork and eligibility
    --Good luck--
Good luck. I learned the hard way, I hope you don't have to. Immigration is interesting. Not considered as legal advice.

We were in business attire when we had our interview.

While in the waiting area, I’ve seen couples in all sorts of outfits - basic jeans and shirt, suit and tie and dresses, business attire, etc.

I would recommend wearing something presentable - business attire preferably. Formal/evening type of clothing is fine, but that’s kinda too much and also like upstaging the IO.

Something classy but not too official.

I prefer wearing formal clothes when it comes to such meetings. My wife chose one of her formal dresses. As for me, I wore a suit. Though I also noticed that a lot of people come in jeans there.

Hey. Just came across this thread and wanted to update it with my 2 cents. Totally not weird for your husband to wear a formal suit to the interview. Better to be overdressed than underdressed, right? And who doesn't love a sharp-dressed man? Check out men's wedding suits and groom's tuxedos for some inspiration. They're usually on point with the formal attire game. Here's a link I found with some nice options: https://www.gentlemansguru.com/produ...dding-tuxedos/. Also, just wanted to mention that I'm new on this forum, but happy to help out!
