    Case:
    Immigrant married a USC
Less than 2 years of marriage
F1-Visa, EAD- OPT to Green Card

    PD-January 10, 2019
    Biometrics- February 4, 2019
Called to Expedite EAD - April 16, 2019
E-mail Received to fax Job Offer- April 22, 2019
Faxed Job Offer- April 22, 2019
Chat with Emma to see if there is an update whether the Job offer was received - April 23, 2019
Called USCIS to get an update- April 25, 2019
Long story short JO expired and I wasn't able to get the job
May 24, 2019- EAD card with Travel document received
    November 22, 2019- Initial Interview
December 19, 2019- Per USCIS an RFE was sent
December 23, 2019- RFE was received asking for my husband's Birth Certificate
December 31, 2019- Submitted my husband's birth certificate
January 4, 2018- Receive a letter for another interview for February 12, 2020
February 12, 2020- Interview, It lasted for about 40 minutes. Mostly the officer just looked at our social media. He watched videos and we also submitted more documents proving the legitimacy of our marriage. We were separated but my husband asked a question as to why we got a 2nd interview the officer said that they needed to verify his Birth Certificate because a lot of people ****d it.

After 4 hours status is changed to New card is being produced

February 13, 2020- Status is changed to approved

It took us a year and 3 months to the whole process.

    Pro Tip:

For the USC spouse If you don't have the long form make sure to request for it ASAP and don't just rely to it make sure you have US passport as well.

For the non- immigrant spouse it is best to not let your status be out of Status. When I applied I still have almost a year's worth of my OPT then I got my new EAD card for the adjustment of Status. When my GC is approved my Visa is still not expired. It will expired til September 2020. Also, it looks like our case was expedited because I am considered a skilled worker. I have a BS in Computer Engineering and an MBA in Business both from Ivy League schools. I also graduated top of class on both degrees. I also currently work in a reputable company. I have only work in reputable companies during my OPTs and all the companies that I worked for gave me recommendations so that's an added points. The US government wanted to see that the non-immigrant spouse is useful, pays taxes and can support herself/himself.

Work with each other, if you think you know each other think again. Review stokes questions. Count each other's lines and moles.

Good luck to everyone. Be resilient and keep persevering. The whole process was made that way (survival of the fittest kind of) because only those who deserve it gets it.

So my husband originally submitted a birth certificate as big as a social security card (I know right) so we had to order him a long one, a certified copy from vital records.
