I'm hoping the same. I think those of you who have already had biometrics updated to "fingerprints were taken" based on previous biometric data are certainly in a good place for EADs. I'm still waiting for a new biometrics appointment and hoping that we get a quick progression from biometrics being taken to EAD being approved. Hopefully we'll all be getting some news to move this forward over the next month.

                    • Hi guys. I think I made a post in “January filers”. But I actually filed on February 19th, package was delivered on February 22nd. In April they finally cashed my checks, however when I look up my cases online it says everything was received back in February. Got all receipts in the mail. Also a letter stating to bring medical form to the interview. No invitation to do fingerprints yet and it’s July. Can I make a request to expedite my case?

I’m in a similar situation and I tried to expedite my case without taking biometrics but I was denied with the reason of no biometric details obtained. I was asked to first take my biometrics and then ask for an expedite. Well, that’s me... maybe your outcome might be different... nothing stops you from expediting your case. After all, there’s nothing to lose but everything to gain! Let us know how yours goes. All the best.

I think I’m going to do that. Husband is an essential and I really want to get a decent job and help him out during these times, so don’t care that much about green card right now as I do about work permit. A friend of mine filed two weeks before me, has her biometrics done in March and got her permit last month. We live in the same town

All Application Support Centers are opening either on 7/20 or 7/27. You can check on USCIS’s website to see when your office is opening. I guess we will receive biometric appointment letter in August. I don’t think they will expedite your case unless you have a job offer or can prove hardship, and there’s even less of a chance of having yours expedited without background check. I would suggest just to wait patiently but only you know your situation and I guess there is no harm in trying.

                              I’ll say be patient too.
Even though I was successful in expediting my case, the only reason I was able to do that was because I got a job offer. I was so close to getting rejected because I expedited my case even before I got an offer and was depending on my company for a letter (which my company denied my request) stating I’ll be loosing my job after the three months of my H1B cap gap extension
                              Just be patient.

Same here; at this point I care less for the GC and more for the EAD. Your friend filling 2 weeks before makes a lot of difference. I’d say we continue to wait or as earlier mentioned, you don’t lose from calling to expedite your case.
