I have not even had my biometrics rescheduled yet
I'm getting close to being able to submit a case inquiry... will likely do that next week. Has anybody else sent in a case inquiry? What usually happens after that?

7/24 – I received letter of notice that my EAD and advance parole cases were approved. But no movement on EAD card production or mailing yet. Anyone else in a similar situation?
I didn't do biometrics yet (they have biometrics from previous visa application). Appointment canceled during lockdown. My lawyer said I would likely still need to have biometrics taken during the I-485 process. No new appointment yet.
Another guy I know in same city as me has PD within the same week as me (2/18 or so) has just been for his biometrics appointment. Unlike me, he has not received approval for his EAD case yet.
I've read that USCIS may not issue my EAD card until after the biometrics have been taken. Has anyone else heard something similar or know if this is true?

That being said, I have also seen people with similar timelines and even later dates (including myself) receive and completed their biometrics.
Have you called USCIS yet to follow up? If not, please do. Alternatively, you may contact your ombudsman for assistance as well.

I also just received biometric appointment letter from USCIS today – I received two actually, on different dates. I don't know why or if I need to attend both. Both appointments are scheduled during the week of Aug 31 - Sep 4.

USCIS has just announced that you can use your approval notice letter as proof of authorization, so as soon as you have your letter in hand you can start working. My letter arrived less than one week after approval date.
