  • I693 Validity - Concurrent filing

I am confused by the new I 693 validity rules. I filed for my parents GC (I-130 and I-485 concurrently) but did not send out I693 with my application.

    Priority date for I 485: 06/04/2019
I693 Signed by Civil Surgeon: 08/01/2019
    RFIE received for I-693: 02/27/2020

Is my current I693 valid under the current rules or do i need to get another medical exam for them? The 60 day rule is confusing.
    Thanks in advance

It is valid since it was done after the I-485 was filed.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

The 60-day rule only applies before submitting I485. Examples:
      - civil surgeon signed/sealed I-693 01/15/2019, package sent with I-485 02/28/2019, valid because it was done less than 60 days before submitting I-485
      - civil surgeon signed/sealed I-693 01/15/2019, package sent with I-485 03/20/2019, not valid, more than 60 days before applying for AOS
      - I-485 sent 06/04/2019, I-693 signed/sealed 08/01/2019, I-693 valid until 08/01/2021

Anyway, the IO has the option to request a new I-693 if he thinks something has changed since your previous medical exam.
Nov 2018 - Package sent - EB - Texas Service Center
Day 1 - Package received at the lockbox
Day 999 - Card delivered to me - Aug 2021
