We waited 2 weeks after receiving the EAD and finally arrived. If you need your number and see if they already mailed you can do that (going to SS office), we did at around 10 days, they gave us our SSN and said the card was already mailed, a few days later the cards arrived.

Received my EAD today, also waiting for SS, i will let you guys know if i’ll get mine

          EDIT:

          I found this link:

So apparently after getting EAD we have to wait 7 business days and if SS won't come, we have to go to SS Office.

If you haven't received your SSN in 2 weeks after you received the EAD, please visit the SS office to check if they received the information from USCIS. No need to waste time waiting if they are not going to produce the card.

We visited the SS office around the 7th business day and they gave us the numbers and told us that the cards were already in the mail. 3 days later we received the SSN cards.

According to https://www.ssa.gov/ssnumber/ss5doc.htm you only need the EAD card, but I will bring the passport too. Even DL if you have one.

Definitely bring 2 ID’s. So the EAD is a must and either your passport or drivers license. Your birth certificate is not needed unless you have a name change issue but it’s not a valid type of ID. I applied for my SSN on a Monday and by the following Monday it was in the mail.
