i-485 rejected due to outdated version of form

Hi guys, my parents in law 1-485 was rejected due to outdated version of form (receipt date feb 27, 2020). They have also i-130 petition from my husband but no notice of approval yet (filed sept 2019). now our concern is there tourist visa expired last march 9, 2020. shall we proceed to re-submit the dated version? please help.

Was it postmarked before or after Feb 24? If it was postmarked on or after Feb 24, they should have used the new version. Yes, they can just re-submit the correct version now, with the I-130 receipt, and remembering to include I-944 which is needed for the new I-485. They are in the Immediate Relative category and don't need to be in status to file I-485.
