    • I am a little bit worried now as my ASC was reopened back in July 13th, and I haven't received any biometrics appointment yet. When I contacted USCIS again today, the one helping me said I should expect 90 days instead of 30 days to receive one. This really makes me worried.

My parents had biometrics appointment today. It hardly take 30 minutes to complete the process. They only allow applicants to enter the building any companion has to wait outside.

I really hope it won't be the case, I mean people on the April, May and even June threads have started receiving theirs...

Mine in Miami, famous for being the slowest one... Fingers crossed!

Also, in the worst case scenario, in 40-50 days, we'll be entitled to file an enquiry as the processing time is 4 to 6 months atm.

                  Yes, I really hope too!
This situation is the biggest challenge I've had to face and I think I mentioned before, I lived and worked in France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, the UK, Switzerland, Thailand and Mexico before I ended up here, quietly asking for the expensive right to live a normal life with my partner. Like most of us, I haven't seen my family and friends for now more than a year (2 for my little sister), I miss them so deeply sometimes I spend hours checking flights I won't be able to take.

I am not sure I'll be able to make it if they "ask" for several more MONTHS of "patience"...

                    • Hi again everyone,

                      SO : I called USCIS.
Had to wait 45 minutes, but anyway, at least I have answers. Not exactly the ones I expected :

"- Well you haven't received a biometrics appointment notice because NBC has not sent any request for your biometrics appointment to Miami's field office yet."

The lady on the phone had no clue why and no idea when this request would be sent, so I filed for an Expedite (financial loss) hoping it will at least help my file be processed...
Now waiting for USCIS to come back to me for additional infos/documents, this should happen next week.

This is why I would never bother calling if your case is within processing timeline, you’ll just get a generic response telling you to wait, lol. Anyway, I hope your expedite request will be fruitful. But I have a strong feeling you will receive your appointment notice by next week or the following week. You said your office is in Miami right? So one reason you haven’t received it yet could be due to hurricane Isaias.

I would like to believe that they have throughly gone through our applications by now and after biometrics it should be smooth sailing to interview. Many March/April/May/June filers have received RFE/RIFEs, so I really hope that if one hasn’t receive an RFE by now, they won’t receive one after biometrics. It could be my wishful thinking but it’s very plausible.

Hi there, I think I am going to use the 12 last reports from my French personal bank account to prove all my savings have vanished to pay my storage unit and other charges, I am under zero and my husband has to pay for it. I hope it's going to work, I am seriously in need of SOMETHING to happen.
