    Hi there,

Am in the same case. Where are you filing from? Maybe it depends on the field office... I'm from Miami.
And I see that it took them a very long time to withdraw the money and send you the NOAs, it was the same for me, maybe it's also a reason... Honestly, I am lost.

I called USCIS several times those last days, even talked to a tier 2 officer, but nothing has changed on my case and NBC hasn't requested my biometrics yet.
My expedited request for I-765 is still pending after 11 days.
I also sent a mail to the USCIS ombudsman and contacted "my" congresswoman several times without hearing back.

So, here I am with some more waiting ahead, trying new breathing exercises to not implode haha.
    Good luck

I’m seeing people with PD of July getting biometrics appointments, so I have no idea why it’s taking so long for some March filers. Where’s your ASC? I’m guessing it’s down to ASCs.

Mmesa So far from Florida, I’ve only seen one person from Jacksonville getting biometrics appointment.

      • Mmesa, I am filing from Las Vegas Nevada...I don't think it's the field office..I think it is NBC that scheduled biometrics appointment with the field offices..it's just insane how they handles cases sometimes..I have seen few cases on this forum that submitted their application after us and they have done their biometrics..I am just trying to remain calm and be more patience. After all we cant really do anything than to wait..

        • danny32 my ASC is Las Vegas..it's the same office with USCIS office..is it NBC that scheduled biometrics appointment or the Field office?

Yes, I've witnessed the same. It's pretty enraging, I mean I am very happy to see everyone going forward with their application, and I hope it's gonna move even faster! I just wish mine (ours) would progress too...

And yes, it's NBC who requests the appointments, but the officers told me it also depends on the reopening of those field offices, from the date they reopened, they have 90 days to send us a notice... Maybe there's logic in here and I just can't really see it

I feel the same, filing from Reno, NV and still nothing. I'm not sure why it is taking so long but I did call USCIS last week and they told me that NBC sends a request to the local ASC to schedule so it is up to the local office to set up the biometric appt not the NBC. Who knows if that is really true.

Another time I called in July they told me that each ASC is designated tier 1/2/3 and apparently they were only working on "tier 1". So I have no idea what to believe anymore. So frustrating to see people in June/July get their appt before us

It almost feels like they left our files in a drawer somewhere and are just not looking for them. So stressful...

                • canuck909 Thanks for your information about who schedule the appointment..So it obvious our biometrics appointment is been delayed by the ASC..I don't bother calling them anymore cos they will tell you one thing today and something else tomorrow..I am just worried what will happen if we don't do biometrics before they go on with their furlough..

                  • I am thinking if I don't get my biometrics appointment by week, I will walk into their ASC myself with my receipts and ID..is that a good idea? I need enlightenment pls..

They won’t let you in without an appointment. I’d rather call your ASC and talk to them and explain your situation. They might allow you to walk in.

                        Hi there,
Do you have any idea by chance of how to get the asc phone number? Cause I've been looking for Miami's office phone and all I can find is the customers service (ending in 5283)

Yeah it only shows the national customer service number. I know a post from 2 weeks ago in which the person claimed to have spoken to ASC and they lady on the other end gave them permission to walk in and have their biometrics taken. Did you try calling the number? Maybe it will let you connect to your local office?

Edit: so I read the post again and the person does say it was not easy to find the phone number, they found it via online yellow pages searching by the address. I looked up North Miami Beach ACS, and you cannot find the phone number anywhere.

I don’t know if they do have direct line/number with the exception of the general USCIS customer service number. I think the ASC, the Field Offices and the Processing Centers (NBC & the rest) are all sub offices of USCIS with one central number.

It’s crazy after waiting for all those months, and few of us have been fingerprinted, while the rest of you are yet to be called. I pray you guys get called soon so we can move forward during these difficult times.

Yes!! I think found a phone number through the yellow pages (thanks for the tip!) I'll try to call tomorrow first thing and see if I can get something out of it (EDIT : oops, spoke too soon, wrong number )

Thank you RYAN923 , it really means something to have this forum helping us stay sane!

It’s quite difficult to know if they’d allow you for a walk-in/earlier appointment or not. In my case, my appointment was for 10am, I got there at 9.15, waited for some minutes, entered the premises and by 9.30 I was out. My ASC was virtually empty to the point that I thought to myself there’s no way the ASC would prevent me from taking my biometrics if I had come earlier (days) than my appointment. But then again, I may be wrong.

There’s no harm in trying; the worse that could happen is that you would be prevented from taking your biometrics.

                                Give it a shot!
