These people should do their job efficiently and stop making fun out of us. If they want to help us due to the setback from COVID-19, let them do something better than that pronouncement.

And YES - we can’t wait to get our EAD approved! That would be such a relief!Last edited by aph; 08-20-2020, 02:27 AM.Mar/25 => Application sent to Chicago lockbox

And personally, more than EAD, I want SSN so we can start building credit ASAP.

Update:
My spouse completed biometrics. I am the primary applicant but still have not received biometrics interview notice.
I tried to walk in together with my spouse (both my lawyers and USCIS call center recommended to try it). They did not allow me to walk in. They checked my case together together with my spouse inside and it looked still not scheduled. They told my spouse that they do not allow anyone to walk in and they are surprised that USCIS call center recommended to try it.

Hey all, I noticed that the processing time for I-131 at NBC has been updated and the current receipt date for a case inquiry is March 24, 2020. Do you think it's a valid step for us to submit a case inquiry (especially for those who haven't received a biometrics appt yet)? Or is it a pointless step as we are just going to get generic answers like to wait xxx days before making another inquiry?
A side note, there're some other threads who are reporting the processing time for I-765 is now 37 months. Not sure if the processing time can provide any relevant information at this point...

Hi everyone,
Yes indeed this new processing time for I765 (only family based of course, otherwise it's less cruel) is quite a shock...
I don't know about the I-131, isn't it supposed to come as a combo card? I guess having at least the right to travel back to our families is better than nothing!! I think it's worth it to try at least to make an enquiry about it. I'll try that too.
On my side, I received a reply from the ombudsman's office three days ago saying they filed an enquiry on my case, but this was before the processing times were modified, and I have not heard back yet, neither seen any change on my case status.
My expedite for I765 has not been either approved or denied after 15 days and NBC has not sent my biometrics notices yet...AOS (marriage) NBC - Miami, Fl
