Make it clear to the tier-2 officer that it is now 32 days since receipt. If you have your original tracking number (FedEx, UPS, USPS), make sure you have it in front of you before calling.

    Hey there,

    Thanks for your reply!
I actually have no idea who I was speaking to, she mentioned a service request, I gave her my email address and phone number but did not receive a confirmation about this.
She did not ask for my tracking number and said that only Chicago lockbox can help me as I am not appearing in their system, so basically "wait 30 days so you get a reply and see what's next"...

I will try again tomorrow, we'll see.
This feeling of being "powerless" is frustrating and disturbing, I can't stop thinking about how our situation would be different/easier in France.

I called them again. Still not in the system. Asking them to use the rejected receipt number isn’t working in my particular case (still doesn’t show up when the officer uses that previous number).

                Day 1 - Application made
                Day 2- Application received
                Day 16 - Check cashed

Questions: During this COVID-19, do y'all think biometric appointment notices would be received soon?

Can someone confirm (with references where possible) that legal status remains intact after submitting the AOS application?

Same as Irishoxford, my old rejection ref does not help...

Will just wait & see as there is literally nothing else to do, i read on older threads that it happened that people saw their file disappear for up to 8 weeks, and eventually received a Receipt with a PD way later than the reception date. Maybe there's sill a "chance".

                  Let's keep in touch anyway
                  And good luck!!

there’s no official word from USCIS on your first question but I can confirm that:

“On March 18, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services temporarily suspended routine in-person services (including biometric appointments) to help slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). USCIS plans to begin reopening our offices on May 4, unless the public closures are extended further.”

                      • Hi all,

Little update on my side : money was withdrawn from our bank account later this morning, and this afternoon I received a letter- NOA saying that it was unnecessary for me to pay USPS a second time (I had no idea about that... did anyone know?) and that they're giving me back the 13$ I paid. There is no "receipt number" on the letter, so maybe that's why my package was delayed... It says that I don't have to do anything about this notice, so I guess I will received the proper application receipts soon!

                        thanks for your help everyone!

                          • Hey guys,

                            I am a March 2020 filer.
I was reading about the expedition of I-765 to get EAD combo card (Employment Authorization) ahead of the normal processing time, since the virus thing is creating hardship. I just received my NOA receipt. (My case is married to a US citizen).

Does anyone has an idea how it’s done, Or what should I do to get sufficient supporting documents before requesting to expedite?

Did you also receive the biometric appointment as well? I think if you cannot get the biometric done due to current situation, the process will be affected.

No, I haven’t received the biometric appointment notice yet.
Since the expedition process takes time also and USCIS is scheduled to open to the public by May 3, I was considering applying now. Thanks for the info.
