Has anybody else who had a COVID-related cancellation received an RFE. My spouse and I received one asking for proof of marriage, essentially everything that we would have brought to the interview that was cancelled. Our attorney thinks they might be trying to approve without an interview, but wondering if anyone else is in the same boat. If anyone is, how are they planning to submit an affidavit of support, given that getting a notary is next-to impossible right now? Our attorney advised us that we should simply get the people to write a statement at the bottom of the letter stating that they were unable to notarize given coronavirus crisis and they can be contact to verify any information.

Dcont5512,
Have you checked by calling your local UPS stores re: notarising? Given that they're open, there's a chance that they may still be providing that service. In Tampa (where I'm at), they're still allowing notary appointments to be scheduled, so who knows?
Here's the link: https://www.theupsstore.com/store-se...otary-services
Click "Find a Store" on there and then "Schedule Appointment" (if available).

We thought about doing that, however, our thing is that we don't want to ask people to go out and do it. We could take all the letters and have them notarized ourselves, but since the person writing the letter has to be present, getting them notarized requires asking them to go to a notary, which could jeopardize their health/safety. We are also in Pennsylvania, where e-notarization is not a thing :/F1 AOS though marriage to a USC

Just today, we received an RFE asking that we mail in my husbands medical. We'd received the pink letter about the medical being missing but NOT to mail it, but bring it to our interview back in January - Before our interview was even scheduled. This is the first correspondence we've received since our March 23rd interview got cancelled so I'm hopeful they are looking to approve without an interview! A girl can dream!
