Rejection of i485 due to I- 864

My husband is LPR and I am in F1 visa in the US. We filed Application for GC for me. But It got rejected saying "you failed to provide I864 with supporting financial documents".
But we did submit I864 with supporting financial documents separately after filing I485. Did our application got rejected because we filed it separately?
What can we do now ? Will it be good if we appeal by I290 or should we restart all over again?

It could have been rejected because you do not meet the required income to sponsor an immigrant. If that is the case, you would either have to find a better paying job or get a co-sponsor.

As far as I know, I-864 has to be submitted with I-485 NOT separately.
