  • "New Card is Being Produced" Question

    Hello,

My Case Status has said "New Card is Being Produced" for five days now. I'm wondering how long it takes them to mail the card? Or if they'll even let me know when they mail it? I was told before that it should only take 7-10 days to get my card after "New Card is Being Produced" update, but It's also weird to me that they haven't mailed it yet. It doesn't make sense why they would produce a card and then not mail it for a while.

    Thanks for any feedback!

Same here from last 14 days saying "New Card is Being Produced". I talked to customer services, they weren't helpful and asked me to give a call after 60 days to raise the ticket.

I was thinking like may be its a good news for us, probably our GC is approved and there is no need of EAD that's why they are trying hold it and deny it later once GC is updated to New card is being produced. I am praying god to happen that.

I am not sure what's going on. Mine is from TSC

Bobbi_Smith which service center did you apply? Is it along with I-485 application ?

Yeah I also thought maybe they were just waiting to send me the GC and not worry about the EAD, but when I talked to a Tier 2 officer he told me that the I-485 and I-765 are processed in completely different departments and have nothing to do with each other... in other words they'll still send the EAD even if the GC is approved. I was supposed to have my GC interview on March 26th but it got cancelled because of COIVID-19.. I'm hoping they'll just skip my interview and send my GC, but that's probably unlikely.
