I am American citizen applied for my mom and since Feb 21 it says ready to schedule for an interview
Little background- My mom applied for asylum in 2017 and she was never called for an interview but uscis sent her SS and Work permit
my question is from what I read family based green card interview is waived but why is my mom case? because of the asylum or something else
I first submitted I-130 and later I-485

any one with similar experience?

It is not unusual for applications to remain in the 'Ready to Schedule Interview' stage for a while.
The USCIS backlog for form I-485 is quite heavy so I would advise you to keep on remaining calm and be patient.
You may also want to call USCIS on (800) 375-5283. Give them your 'A' number (alien number) and ask them for the status of your application.
