Here is a brief summary of my case.
In 2007, deportation order was issued and we appealed but failed.
In 2015, I married a US citizen and I-130 was accepted in 2018.
Now, in order to file I-485, we need to file a joint motion to reopen to DHS to file a joint motion to Board of Appeals.
We filed in 2019 but DHS stated that they could not join in the motion at this time.
Has anyone found success with joint motion to reopen AFTER Trump has become the president?
I talked with a lawyer who said Trump issued a halt on joint motion to reopen, but I can't find anything that validates that statement.
I want to either try joint motion to reopen again or file sua sponte directly to Board of Appeals.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
