4/20 am: card went into production | pm: trump twitter post

Yesterday was a total roller coaster! My online case status got updated to card under production, after almost 2 years of waiting. I was so happy. Then 9pm in the evening, saw Trump's twitter post. In your experience, how long did it take for your card to be shipped from "being produced"? I'm worried they would stop producing my card & not ship it to me due to the EA. Thank you in advance for the information!

I suspect that you will get your green card. It will almost certainly have been approved before the EO is signed.

I just got a new update. Case status got changed to "case was approved". I didn't realize "card being produced" comes before "case was approved". Is that normal??

Yes, that's normal, I got this for EAD renewal
- Card being produced
- Case approved
- Card sent
- Card picked up by USPS (they also showed the tracking number)
- Card delivered to you

Same thing happened to me, my case was update to "card being produced" on 4/14 and the card was shipped at the same day. The very next day, 4/15 the case was updated to "case approved". I got my Green Card on my mail Monday 4/20. I also got the I-485 approval notice on my mail, and the date that the case was approved was actually 4/14, the same day that the card was produced. So I believe that you will have your card on your mail soon.

Did you do an interview in the past or was it a waiver?

I'm currently on H1B. We had the interview September 2019. Submitted RFE on November 1st, 2019.

Thank you for the insight! I haven't got a status update about card being shipped. I still kind of worry that the new EO will impact my card. Fingers crossed!!!

Hello and congratulations. We got the update card being produced on 4/16 then cases approved on 4/17. Then 4/21 card got mailed out. In our case it took between 2 and 3 days after the card being produced to the actual shipping update.
