My mother petitioned for me and my children to receive a green card. At the time, my mother was a Lawful Resident so I was put in the F2b category. Ever since then, I have been waiting for my priority date to be reached. In January of 2020, my priority date was reached and in February I filled Form i-485 to start the process of receiving my green card. I recently got an RFE, a request for more evidence. Ever since then, my mother has been naturalized and has become a US citizen. I am wondering how this will affect my case. Will USCIS move me out of my f2b category, and if so, what can I do to stay in the F2b category?
