  • What to Include to Request Expedite for I-765

My spouse (USC) and I filed I-485, I-130, and I-765 in Jan.
    fingerprints: 2/18
ready to be scheduled for an interview: 4/3

I haven't heard anything since. My current EAD expires in July. My company says my work will be terminated without EAD extension. I want to request an expedite, but was wondering what to include to increase the chance of getting my request approved?

I'm following your post because my EAD expires in August and by the way processing times are....dunno what to say.
I sent the renewal at the beginning of February (with USPS certified mail; someone from USCIS signed for it) and I got confirmation receipt on March 20. About a month away..

I think so long as you have a renewal pending, they can not terminate. If you have the i797c, it might mention an automatic 180-day extension which proves employment eligibility.

I don't think my current EAD is in a category eligible for auto renewal by i797c. I have presented my i797c to my company, they also told me the receipt category doesn't match and won't work in this case.
I may wait until the end of this week, because I see a good numbers of cases around mine are being approved. If not, I'll reach out to request expedite and hope for the best.

Write a cover letter explaining the situation, with evidence that you might lose your existing job etc. That worked for me.

Thanks for sharing. Did you ask your company to write something for you and sign or you did everything on your own?
