Can I file I-485 for wife when PD is not current?

Hi, my PD is October 2005. I filed my I-485 however in June 2008. Can I file an amemdment I-485 for my wife so she can get an EAD and be able to work? I currently have H1-B and she has H4 status.

Hello,

From my understanding, if you did not include your wife when you filed your
I-485 for the first time, I don't think you can add her later with an amendment. You will need to file GC separatly for her.

This is my understanding. I am not 100% sure.
