Hi everyone -

I have also filed in May 2020 for I-485, I-765 & I-131. Biometrics submitted on August 3rd and since then we have been waiting for the next update.. Good luck everyone.

My Timeline:

5/10: Filed I485/I765/I131 (Employment Based) for myself and spouse
6/1: Received NOA receipts
7/27: Received ASC biometric appointment notices, scheduled for 8/03
8/3: Biometrics completed
8/4: Case status updated to "Fingerprints have been applied"

May 17 Mailed package to Chicago
May 20 Received by USCIS on May 20 ( Priority date)
May 27 Accepted Fingerprint fee for I-485
May 28 Texts for receipt
May 29 Checks cashed
June 1 NOA Received in mail for I-485, I-131, I-765, I-130
July 27 received biometric letter
August 14 Bios appointment ( I previously put August 12 , my bad)
August 14 Fingerments applied to 1-765 and I-485 ( my fingerprints have yet applied to 131)
August 20 Interview is ready to be scheduled

Nope nothing! I’ve seen a couple other people who got their card if they only applied for i765 but if you applied for 131 and I 765 like I did it takes a bit longer. I still didn’t have my fingerprint applied to 131 yet

I have never heard that they applied fingerprint to I-131. Why would they need that? I-131 does NOT require biometrics.

I'm not sure, I just saw someone in march say that their fingerprints were applied to I-131, here's their timeline, maybe it was a mistake? not sure. also saw a few people say they had separate biometric notices for I-131. also on the instructions for filing I-131 it says :

3. Biometrics Services Requirement a. All applicants for a Refugee Travel Document or a Reentry Permit must complete biometrics at a USCIS Application Support Center (ASC) or, if applying for a Refugee Travel Document while outside of the United States at an overseas USCIS facility. If you are between ages 14 through 79 and you are applying for a Refugee Travel Document or a Reentry Permit, you must also be fingerprinted as part of USCIS biometrics services requirement. After you have filed this application, USCIS will notify you in writing of the time and location for your biometrics services appointment. Failure to appear to be fingerprinted or for other biometrics services may result in a denial of your application

04/30: NOA I-693 Medical.
08/03: NOA Biometrics Appointment Received for 8/11.
08/11: Biometrics Taken
08/12: Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken (I-765 & I-485)
08/14: I-485 Updated to “Case is ready to be schedule for an interview”
08/17: Fingerprints applied to I-131.

I can tell you I I have had 3 seperate I-131 aproval. They never required me to do biometrics or appliied biometrics to the I-131. Now I must also say. I have always took biometrics for the main application, in my case I-821.

My case (I-485/130/765) was received back on 28 May. No biometrics appointment yet. Cleveland, Ohio. I think March and April filers are getting the appointments now.

Sharing the latest update on my petition.

My online status now shows that 'RFIE was issued recently'. I am still waiting to hear on the details, but just wanted to share it with the group. We haven't sent our medicals at the time of filing so it could be for that or for other reasons.

My Timeline:

5/10: Filed I485/I765/I131 (Employment Based) for myself and spouse

09/17 - 'RFIE was sent' on both I-485 petitions.

A little update for you guys:

05/08/20 Original Submission of I-485; I-765; I-131; I-944
05/13 Rejected due to lack of I-864
05/27 resubmitted with explanation that I am EXEMPT from I-864
06/03 Rejected again for the same reason and I wrote them.
06/13 Resubmitted with I-864.
07/07 Lockbox emailed back and ask me to resubmit.
07/09 Filings accepted with PD 05/08/20 (nice)
08/06 Prior biometrics applied to I485 but not to I-765
08/28 Took biometrics for I-765 but USCIS is yet to applied it
09/28 I-765 Cards Ordered for my derivatives and me.

My mom had to go the a second biometrics about two weeks after the first one to have her fingerprints applied to I-131
