I-485 EAD/AP Renewal for Spouse taking very long

Hi All,

• EAD Renewal Filing (this is may be 7 time we did while waiting for 485 current): Sep. 12th
• Got my EAD/AP combo card: Oct. 12th
• Waiting for my spouse EAD/AP card, she has 2 months left on the auto 180 day extension to work
• Raised 2 or 3 case update requests by attorney past three months
• 5/14: Called USCIS, Representative (rep) shared that there was some communication sent to attorney on file.

We are waiting to see what communication it is; Rep shared that it is not approval.
Attorney is going to discuss next week on USCIS expedite request, if it can be applied.


Anybody in same boat or any guidance appreciated.

You need to see what the communication is. This is strange. Any RFE is sent to you and attorney.

My attorney didn't receive it yet and I didn't receive any yet as well. Will keep an eye on my mail.

Thank you so much Enub4 for your comments. Will keep checking my postal mail and once eligible again for service request; will have the attorney raise another one.

Somebody suggested reaching out to local congressman, will check with my attorney early next week and will check with them as well. Thanks.
