USCIS Chicago Lockbox

Hello,

We recently mailed our AOS package to USCIS Chicago Lockbox via USPS on 5/12/2020. Tracking number shows expected delivery date 5/15/2020 but as of today last update is showing: May 14, 2020

CHICAGO, IL 60680

Current Status is:
In-Transit:
Arrived at Post Office

Does this mean it was delivered and USCIS hasn't picked up the package yet? I am bit confused, first time I am noticing this.

We sent ours a few days later. We used the flat-rate priority mail.

We have not received anything else from them (no checking account activity, no receipt emailed, no letters in the mail).

I sent my package on 05/12 and it was supposed to be delivered by 5/15. The Tracking Number showed exactly what you noted above (Arrived at Post Office). I opened an inquiry ticket with USPS and here's how they responded:
Our records show your item was last scanned Arrival at Unit (60680) listed on a firm sheet May 14, 2020. We contacted the delivery unit and was informed the item has been picked up. Immigration has a courier service that comes to our facility to pick up their mail twice a day Sunday - Friday, there is no delivery scan because the firm sheet that the item was listed on was not scanned at the time of pick up. If the firm sheet is not scanned tracking will not update. A lot of the times the firm sheet falls in the container within the mail, after the courier picks up the mail there is no way for the firm sheet to be scanned. Also, it may take 15 to 30 days for Immigration to send a notification of receipt.

I have since received the text msgs from USCIS with the case numbers. Hope this helps!

just an update to my thread. I received my receipt number today for i485 AOS. Took exactly 3 weeks!
