I just got my Approval of I485, and they told me to make an appointment.. and I did.. but something i noticed too, My name was misspelled..
what should I do.. my appointment will be next week.
IS there any possibilities that I can just tell them when I am there??and change it possibly?

Can i travel outside the country with 485 approval?

Please advise me. I need to travel outside the country by 16-jan-2005. I got 485 approval in email today.
1) Can i go ahead with my travel plan (on Advance parole) and do the PP staping after my return?
OR
2) Do the PP stapping and then go as per my travel plan (may be cancelling my ticket and rescheduling )

Which one should i take.

First of all, once 485 is approved and if i got the notice in the mail. Is my AP (advance prole) is still valid??

Please put in your thoughts and experience.

once you got your approval notice for I485, make an appointment to your nearest immigration office. thru infopass... then as soon as your appointment comes, go to that office and they will stamp your passport.. NOW you can go anywhere you want to... but you should not be out of USA for more than 6 - 12 months.. otherwise y=ou will be getting a advance parole..

Thanks for your information. I have an advance parole valida upto aug-05. My question is once i received the 1485 approval notice, can i travel out side the country on AP and come back and get my PP stamped. [Because i have already booked my ticket to jan-16th, i may get my approval notice on that day or after that.]
I saw in the forum, somebody has put it like this once you received I485 approval notice your AP will become invalid. Is that true?

Background security check

Hi everyone,
I went for my employment based interview on 12th of this month. Everything went fine, but they did 'nt have my fingerprints results, which happened 12/15/04 ... about a month b4 interview. So i was told to wait and my attorney will inform me.
I just don 't wanna sit a wait only ... would appreciate any help about what can i do ... to see where am i standing.
Feels like i am standing in the same ground where i was before my interview. I still can 't travel ...
