Do you have anything to hide ? Something that is against the law ?

Generally, based on our privacy configurations on social media individuals can gain access to our content and glean the necessary information that they need to form a conclusion about our character and/or our activities. That being said we have not had any discussions with USCIS before or during any interview based on or social interactions on social media. We don't know if they used our ******** profile etc to have a general background understanding of who were are. However, I do know that once you actually step into any Field Office for either a biometrics or interview every interaction or body language displayed is monitored, and interpreted against your document and used as added scrutiny for evidence of bonafide relationship/ connection with employer/employee green card.

Additionally, there are weeks of background check that is done prior to and after a biometrics is done; as such some applicants will step into a field office and are handcuffed and taken away because of information that showed up even before the actual finger print is done; I physically saw that happening while I was doing my biometrics and asked the officer who was handling my case what happened and he explained. Also, I received notification from USCIS indicating that they have begun background check and I will soon get biometrics appointment (I751). Please remember that all our biographic data and then some are typed or written by us and sent to the USCIS. They know our name, our other names, our addresses-current and past, our medical history, SSN/passport #, job history, tax history, for the most recent applications-your loan, lien, credit score, benefits etc and can use any of the respective access numbers to ascertain more information on us. The social media is an accessible platform.

So it is best to post professional or tactful information at all time. We should also monitor our social media platforms for what we are tagged in. We should tastefully comment on topical issues that might surround social, political, religious persuasions. We should optimize our privacy settings. All the best.

We took copies of congratulatory notes from our friends, on our anniversary from ******** and copies of our communication between both of us as taken from another social website to our actual interview. Our officer did not take the actual print out of our personal conversations but only took the congratulatory comments on our anniversary from ********. However, we had way more proof of evidence of our union so it was not relied upon. In general, it is always good to provide other provable evidence of your case such as primary evidence of joint taxes, joint bank account, medical insurances, joint purchases, receipts of vacations etc as these will always be more substantial than the documented evidence on social media. Interactions on social media will only be used as secondary or tertiary evidence. All the best.
