So I filed AOS August 2019 and Feb 20th they texted me they’re ready to schedule me for an interview then COVID happened (and a bunch of other personal things) so now my husband and I have to move. Does moving out of state mess up the process (we’re moving August) anybody else move while they were in the process ?

I hope you get the interview before you actually move. Otherwise as soon as you do, within 10 days change your address with USCIS. Each of you will need to do the change of address. As the applicant/immigrant/beneficiary you will do the change of address online through DHS/USCIS. Your sponsor/spouse/petitioner will complete a form, found on USCIS/DHS and mail it in. They will send a receipt acknowledging your spouse's application for change of address. But the beneficiary will get an instant confirmation online that should be printed immediately for a record keeping.

When you apply for an address change while going through a process it may take the time away, just a bit, while they transfer files between centers. Otherwise, if you can delay your move until the major services (interview and receipt of Green Card) get underway it would be better for you. Also, if you can, make an arrangement with your local post offices to re-route any mails to your new address. All the best.

If you move, the case will then need to be transferred. This process itself takes 1-4 months. If the new USCIS jurisdiction is backed up, then you will have additional delays.
Which City & State are you in and where are you going ?

          Baltimore is currently 13-38 months
          Chicago is 6-27 months

So you should expect to hear from them in approx 3-9 months.
