Question:
I called to expedite EAD but instead they changed my status of I485 to be scheduled for interview. I heard it can take months for interview, I really need my EAD. I'm worried they don't send EAD till I485 interview. Is this normal? ever happened to anyone?

mamad2100 They're still working on processing your expedited EAD request. I think it's just a coincidence that your I485 moved into "Ready for Interview" at the same time.

Just received notice today that I’m being scheduled for interview. How far off are the interview schedule typically? Anyone from san francisco bay area who was interviewed during covid?

6/29/20 - i applied concurrently filling.
12/21 - Submitted request to expedite
12/29 - was asked to submit proof.
1/4 - they approved my expedite request
1/9/21 - combo card arrived
1/15/21 - received email re notice for interview.

All what you need are the ID and the letter, they will take a photo for you and probably this one will be used for the green card not the one you sent .
The petitioner doesn’t need to be present for the biometric appointment and I think she will not be allowed inside due to COVID restrictions.

what proof did you use to expedite your I765

They sent me an email to send proof for expedite request. I tried to fax them my wife hospital bills but their fax number is busy and it does not go through. I chat with Emma to see if I can send proof any other way but they said they don't know and a Tier 2 officer will give me a call within 7 days. I tried with Fedex fax and it seems like it was sent but there is no way of knowing. Is there any other way to send proof? I already mailed them proof 20 days ago (01/01/2021) with request but they never got it (I guess) that's why I requested again with Emma

YES , I did the same. You just have to call uscis to expedite and when they ask you for more information or documents for expediting your request , you fax your employment later .

Yes it is possible based on "Severe Financial Loss to Company or Person". However, it is NOT guaranteed.

You don't need, but you'll want to apply for a new card. The number doesn't change. I believe you'll need the EAD NoA to be sent with the application.

-01/27/20: Same sex couple, married to USC.
-06/29/20: Package I-130, I-130A, I-131, I-485, I-693, I-765, I-864, I-864 joint sponsor and I-944 sent via certified mail USPS.
-06/30/20: Delivered by USPS and signed by Chicago lockbox T Thomas.
-07/25/20: Checks cashed.
-07/30/20: Text messages received with case confirmation numbers.
-07/31/20: Received NOA's in the mail.
-08/05/20: Received RFIE notification from USCIS for I-485, letter to follow via mail.
-08/10/20: Received RFIE in the mail asking for my partner's pay stubs for the last 6 months and letter of employment.
-09/18/20: Mailed out RFIE to Lee-Summit's office.
-09/21/20: USCIS confirms they've received RFIE.
-10/27/2020: Called USCIS regarding biometrics appointment not yet scheduled. USCIS send E-Request to Chicago FO.
-11/10/2020: Immigration officer reaches out to me via phone call to explain the reason I haven't received a biometrics appointment, appointment will come eventually.
-11/23/2020: USCIS files another E-Request for biometrics.
-12/04/2020: USCIS confirms biometrics appointment has been scheduled and letter with details is in the mail already.
-12/05/2020: Biometrics appointment scheduled for December 21st 2020.
-12/21/2020: Biometrics taken.
-12/22/2020: Biometrics applied to cases.
-12/29/2020: Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview.
