Hello all!
I hope everyone is safe during these unprecedented times.
So a little background about our case... My wife (US Citizen) and I filled April 2018 for a green card based on marriage. A year later we went through the interview process (April 2019). We were separated from the start and asked the same basic questions. My wife was a little nervous and said an incorrect answer that differed from mine. The officer said she needed more time to decide and would let us know within a month or so. Our lawyer told us not to worry and that it wasn't a big deal and we would be approved within a month or it would be investigated. We weren't approved within a month and we haven't heard anything about a decision since.
Today.... I randomly decided to call and inquire about the status of our application. The officer said the normal processing times are within 8-27.5 months and that we were at 26 months and 2 days. He told me to call back in a month if we did not hear back from them.
He then said he would see if there were any notes and updates in the case and he then put me on a brief hold. He then came back and said that coincidentally they actually sent our application over to the Los Angeles County Field Office and that an officer was reviewing out application!! He said i should still call back within a month or so and they would be able to give me a better update but that we would most likely hear an answer within the month!
Has anyone else experienced anything like this??? I'm assuming they will either approve the application, send someone to investigate, deny the application, or invite us for another interview.
Please let me know if you have gone through this or know any one that has. I really hope they approve our applications on the spot once they review it please pray for us!!!
Thank you everyone for support!!!!!!!!!
